Jimmy Miao Zhang

Jimmy (Miao Zhang) is a researcher, architect, and urban designer working at the intersection of machine learning and architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC).

As co-founder of Commons Office, a research-driven design practice, Jimmy embraces a trans-scalar and interdisciplinary approach spanning artificial intelligence, architecture, urbanism, engineering, and construction. The practice understands design as a form of collective social agency that empowers the commons and advances the common good through critical inquiry, stakeholder collaboration, and the application of advanced computational methods.

Jimmy is currently pursuing an MS in Computational Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech. He holds a Master in Architecture in Urban Design (MAUD) from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Inner Mongolia University of Technology.
